PDF Signature Inspector & Integrity Checker

Inspect cryptographic PDF signatures and signed-byte integrity locally.
Local PDF processing
The PDF and derived signature metadata stay in this browser. No file name, certificate field, result, or document byte is sent to analytics.
Integrity is not identity or legal validity
This tool checks supported signed-byte evidence. It does not use a trust store, contact OCSP or CRL services, prove signer identity, or determine legal validity.

What this tool does

This local inspector detects cryptographic signature fields in a PDF and reports signed-byte integrity evidence supported by its verification engine. It does not establish certificate trust, signer identity, revocation status, or legal validity.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF stored on this device.
  2. Review each supported signature, byte range, certificate metadata, and integrity state.
  3. Read the not-evaluated list before using the evidence in a security or legal workflow.

Trust and format limitations

The checker fails closed on unsupported signature formats. It does not perform trust-store validation, revocation checks, timestamp-authority validation, PAdES conformance, signer identity proof, or legal assessment.

Frequently asked questions

Does an intact signature prove who signed the PDF?
No. Byte integrity and signer identity are separate evaluations.
Does the tool check certificate revocation?
No. It makes no OCSP, CRL, or other network request.
Is a drawn signature image detected?
No. The tool looks for cryptographic PDF signature structures, not visual marks.
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. The file is read and inspected only in this browser.
