PDF Compressor FAQ

How does this PDF compressor reduce file size?
It rebuilds the PDF locally, writes compressed object streams, and removes common metadata. It is most effective on PDFs that were not already optimized.
Can it compress every PDF to 100KB or 200KB?
No. The final size depends on page count, images, fonts, and how the PDF was created. The tool reports the real before and after sizes instead of forcing a misleading target.
Are PDF files uploaded?
No. This is a static browser tool. Your PDF is processed locally and is not uploaded by BaseToolbox.
Will text and images lose quality?
The first version does not rasterize pages or intentionally lower image quality. If your PDF contains already-compressed images, the size may not change much.
