How to annotate dimensions on a design image

Start with verified dimensions or review notes. Use the editor to communicate those values visually to clients, suppliers, teammates, or production partners.

1

Upload the reference image

Use a mockup, furniture photo, packaging panel, product sketch, screenshot, or exported design frame. The source stays in your browser.

2

Add dimension callouts

Draw lines and arrows, then type widths, heights, spacing, clearances, materials, tolerances, or short handoff notes.

3

Export and share

Adjust line and text styles for contrast, then export an annotated PNG, JPG, or SVG for review or documentation.

Design annotation use cases

Furniture and interior objects

Mark overall width, height, depth, seat height, clearance, wall spacing, or placement notes on a photo or mockup.

Packaging and print references

Label panel size, safe areas, folds, openings, label placement, or other production notes on packaging visuals.

Product sketches and mockups

Communicate part dimensions, spacing, alignment, component names, or revision notes before CAD or production work.

UI screenshots and visual handoff

Add manual spacing notes, arrows, labels, and redline-style callouts to screenshots without changing the source design file.

This is an annotation tool, not a calibrated measuring system

The editor displays values you type. It does not infer real-world measurements from pixels, calibrate image scale, open CAD dimensions, or guarantee manufacturing tolerances. Verify critical measurements in the original design or measurement source.

Design dimension annotation FAQ

What design images can I annotate?

You can annotate mockups, furniture photos, packaging visuals, product sketches, screenshots, diagrams, and other JPG, PNG, or GIF references up to the tool's file-size limit.

Can the tool calculate dimensions from a photo?

No. You enter verified values manually. A normal image does not contain enough scale information to recover reliable real-world measurements.

Can I use the result for design handoff?

Yes, for visual communication and review. For construction, manufacturing, or engineering decisions, keep the authoritative dimensions in the original CAD, drawing, or specification.

Is the source image uploaded?

No. Editing and export happen locally in your browser.
